& Why She's Important
Lotte Reingier was an animator who work in her pioneered style of miticulous paper cut out puppets.

Lotte Reiniger was a German film maker who  is best known as the pioneer of silhouette animation. ‘The Adventures of Prince Achmed’ (1926) is thought to be the earliest surviving animated feature film. She is also credited with inventing the first form of a multiplane camera, which was a revolutionary invention in animation.
